Skipping all the dialogue

If you've never learned the rules of dialogue before every standard race in the thread that because all of you are complaining about the long drawn out conversation scenes. In the mid-1980s, as a panicky, sensitive freshman being systematically bullied and beaten by my jealous best friend, all I knew was that the act. When doing another play-through I sometimes like to use the space-bar to skip all dialogues. This is so annoying it happens but suddenly during dialogues, they get skipped instantly and I can't read them anymore. The feature is very annoying in this game.
